Void Boss rotation[]
A new Void boss rotation system has been introduced. This allows you to fight all of the previous Void Takeover bosses. Read more here: https://adventurequestwiki.fandom.com/wiki/Additional_Information#Void_Takeover
Dragonlorn Keep[]
Being part of this year's MC set, the Dragonlorn Keep story has started. The first part was called Dragonlorn Keep: Darker Memories. In this quest, you play as Warlic, fighting through some interesting monsters with some very interesting mechanics. The rewards from this quest were the Shattered Horizon misc and the spell Runic Binding .
Shattered Horizon is a misc that heals you upon taking Darkness damage. It also increases INT/END/LUK and can inflict Panic on monster if it attacked you with Darkness. Shattered Horizon is fantastic for Backlash builds, especially Backlash mages, who can combo the Panic infliction with Void Charge's skill.
Runic Binding is an overcharged Harm spell that inflicts Empowerment and Elevuln. The damage penalties it takes for status infliction gimps its effectiveness as a damage spell but it is notable for being an addition to the Purple Rain loop for those looking to maximise damage. It can be used as an alternative to the Dragonguard spell or even the Zfinity Power Gauntlet misc.
The Devourer Saga[]
The month of May also let us play through the updated Devourer Saga Prologue part 9 & 10.
Rewards from these quests:
The Troll Club allows you to sacrifice Bth (accuracy) for damage, making it the hardest hitting Earth Melee/Magic weapon in the game. However, this comes with the caveat of actually hitting in the first place. Use it with Bth boosters like New Year's Surprise or Moonwalker's Grace to maximise its value.
Available in all 8 Elements, the Tank Knight armor is an FD armor that stores charges for every attack attempted against you whether hit or miss, allowing you to cash in 51 charges for a QC Elemental Shield. The armors are the new best in slot for FD Water and beats FD Rangers' current options for Energy and Light as well, due to its effect's synergy with an FD strategy. However, this is more a result of the existing options being lackluster, rather than the armor itself being good. The mediocre effect in combination with the Token cost will make these not worth buying in most cases.
Golden Gift Boxes[]
This month's GGBs were returning items. These items were previously meant to be permanently rare. Players got mad, and the developers made a decision to make the returning items recolored versions of the originals while giving them a "Twisted" in front of their names. Link to thread: https://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=22379734
The returning items were: Juvenile Void Dragon , Gauntlet of Xano , Cleric of Carnafex , Dragonhide Armor
Juvenile Void Dragon: The only Void pet available. Since Void is usually 200%, the pet deals half damage to compensate. For that reason, JVD is as strong as a normal Harm pet on nearly all monsters.
Z-Token packages[]
There were 3 packages for May:
Spirit of Rejuvenation , El Muchacho , Una Poca de Gracia
Una Poca de Gracia is a quickcast CHA boost. Almost all builds can benefit from an increase in CHA as long as you're using guests or pets. However, keep in mind that beastbuilds who benefit the most from this SPell also have to sacrifice at least 1 spell (guest) slot for it.
El Muchacho is a returning package. Read about it on the list of recommended 100-proc Ranged weapons .
