Introduction[]

Blarney is a bit special in that one cannot do older quests without the painting. Thankfully, to remedy this, the devs have put all the previous rewards in the Past Blarney Rewards shop. Thus, I will not list out all the previous quest names. Blarney also has an Xpress Shop for people to buy the lowest leveled version of the items to upgrade in the Account Manager. This avoids clutter. I will use the order of items in the Xpress Shop for my list.

Recommendations[]

Weapons[]

  • Kaze/Tsuchi/Hikari Shuriken
    • These are good 100-Proc Ranged weapons. While there are a variety of 100-Proc Ranged weapons to choose from, these are top-tier in terms of damage due to the *1.5 LS rate. Only Earth faces competition from Survivor's Rough Rifle.
  • Kaze/Tsuchi/Hikari Sensu
    • These are good Melee weapons. *1.5 LS rate is slightly superior to a typical +5% damage MC. Kaze is a top-tier option for Wind due a lack of current options. Earth faces competition from the Bloodblades, Terminus Twinmaul, and Savage Troll Club. Light faces competition from the Bloodblades, Zealot's Wrath, and Exalted Unity.
  • Kaze/Tsuchi/Hikari Naginata
    • Due to the sheer lack of good FO Ranger support, these spears are actually top-tier. Unfortunately, they're the worst of this bunch of weapons since they're 20-proc.
  • Blarney '18 Commemorative Spoon
    • This is one of the top options for 100-Proc Darkness wands. The *1.375 LS rate boost is usually superior to the other top option Twilight Totem's Fear chance.
  • Alchemical Unity
    • This is an absolutely broken weapon for FO Rangers and Mages. Due to scaling off damage with no cap, this weapon can easily stack enormous Blinds.

Armors[]

  • Matchmaker
    • This is a rather niche armor with two unique effects. The first is that it can toggle its normal attacks to attempt to inflict Control. The second is that it can give you guaranteed Celerity. This second effect is what makes this armor useful as a utility armor.

Shields[]

  • None

Spells[]

  • Call/Summon Lepre-Chan
    • This is an F2P Light booster, which gives it automatically usefulness. Unfortunately, this competes with Paladin's Manifestation. The latter is compressed in a top-tier armor, so Manifestation's easier to fit in than Lepre-Chan. Still, Manifestation's downtrigger makes it weaker than Lepre-Chan normally.
  • Ninja Lawyer Assassin Contract
    • This is one of the best Darkness guests in the game, providing both versatility and high damage. Entangle is a relatively mediocre effect, but Bleed is good even if this is not the absolute best source of Bleed from a guest. The Gold cost damage boost is still the main draw of any Contract guest, and this is no exception.

Pets[]

  • Gildead Leprechaun
    • This is a Blind pet, which gives it utility for dodge players. Being Light means it has to unfortunately compete with New Year's Ball, and it is mostly the worse of the two. Nevertheless, this is more readily available.
  • Lepre-Chan
    • This is an F2P Light booster, and it has no F2P equivalents unlike its guest counterpart. Pet slots are also usually freer than spell slots, so Lepre-Chan is a top-tier option for those without the money to buy Moglinus Decimus.
  • Golden Gween
    • This is one of the strongest Earth pets in the game due to its Gold boost. Its underleveled highest tiered version is the only reason it is often overlooked.

Miscs[]

  • Clover Essence
    • This is a direct upgrade to Blue Server Cap/Precise Frostval Crown. While the *2 LS damage counterparts are more popular due to Hypercrit shenanigans, this is not a bad misc outside of those and can be useful for those valuing consistency.
  • ZardAde
    • This is a warrior's upgrade to Cyclop's Eye. Both miscs are good for compressing a resist misc for all 8 standard elements. The only downside to ZardAde is that it resets when unequipped, so it is not as useful when a player likes to change miscs every turn.
