Introduction

Unlike other categories, this is more of a hopeful one. It is severely underrepresented with only a couple of elements with a Tome at all.

For the sake of brevity, all tomes share a spell:

  • Draw Mana: Heal ~60% standard spell cost in MP (392 at 150). Has a 10% chance to also attack using purely stat damage (no base damage).
    • Unless otherwise stated, this hit will follow the tome's element.
    • If spells are disabled, or not enough MP is available, when attempting to attack with a tome, Draw Mana is automatically used.

Book of Burns

Fire Tome. Can conditionally gain Fire Charges. Comes with 4 spells:

  • Flavour Effect: For each Fire spell in your active inventory (icon must be Fire), gain +1 Fire Charge per turn.
  • Big Blaze: Standard spell.
  • Scorch: Deals -50% damage. Attempts to inflict a Power: 5 Fire Burn for 4 turns. This has +0 Save Bonus, player INT/LUK vs. monster DEX/LUK.
  • Fire Shield: Applies a MP shield. No cost.
  • Stoke The Flames: Gain 15 Fire Charges.
  • Multicast: Quickcast. Spend 30 Fire Charges to gain an extra use of the Tome.

The Kindred of Tomes. Book of Burns has infinite damage potential, due to Multicast being usable an infinite number of times as long as there are enough Fire Charges built up.

Inferno Scepter

Fire Tome. Comes with 2 spells:

  • Inferno Pillars: Standard spell.
  • Inferno Burst : Efficient spell.

Tome of Cerberus

Fire/Darkness Tome. Uses both elements at once. Deals 1.1x damage to compensate. Comes with 3 spells:

  • Wicked Pulse: Efficient spell.
  • Demonic Ward: Applies a Chi Shield. uses INT for stat damage. No cost.
  • Inferno Wall: Standard spell.

Healing Branch

Water Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • Fountain of Life: Standard Healing spell. Uses INT for stat damage.
  • Purifying Surge: Efficient spell.
  • Curative Waters: Removes Bleed, Burn, and Poison in that order. MP cost is based on the power and duration of the statuses removed. Applies a HP Regeneration whose duration is based on the power and duration of the statuses removed.

The only Water Tome as of writing, which has added utility of healing and status removal. However, due to the item's age, it is currently bugged; there is no cap on duration for calculating the mana cost of Curative Waters.

Location: Travel Map -> Sail East -> Travel South -> Haven -> Mind if I explore the town a bit? -> Click on the Town Circle -> Click on the Hospital (building with the red cross) -> Got any quests? -> Sure! Restart until you get the following dialogue:

Angel: Being out in the wilderness as we are, injuries are very common. Lately I've been working on a way to provide healing to my patients at a more rapid pace. 
Angel: I believe that I can craft a staff which will work well as a channeling device for my nature magic, allowing me to heal patients with greater power and efficiency. 
Angel: But to make such a staff, I'll need ample healing reagents so that I can treat any number of ailments. And of course, a healing reagent wouldn't hurt. 
Angel: I need you to find the ingredients. Please be sure to gather enough for all of them!

Big Dictionary

Wind Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • Tehauntepecer: Standard spell.
  • Panoply: Provides a 29 DefBoost for 5 turns. Standard spell cost. Has an outlevel formula.
  • Sough: Efficient spell.

A ridiculously broken Tome thanks to Panoply providing much more power than it should. Repeated uses effectively makes the player unhittable.

Winds of Change Tome

Wind Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • Gale Force: Standard spell.
  • Vacuum Blast: Deals -50% damage. Attempts to inflict a (35.7*[WindRes])% Choke for [Hits] turns. This has +0 Save Bonus, player INT/LUK vs. monster END/LUK.
  • Windfall: Efficient spell.

Prismheart Tome

Earth Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • Flavour Effect: All Earth spells deals +2.5% damage for each Earth spell in your active inventory.
  • Rhinestone Ritz: Overcharged spell. Deals +25% damage. Deals -70% damage and attempts to inflict a Power: 0.22 Prismatic Burn for [Hits] turns. This has +0 Save Bonus, player INT/LUK vs. monster DEX/LUK.
  • Flutterfree: Standard spell. Deals -50% damage and attempts to inflict a Power: (2.5*[Hits]/[Attempts]) Earth Poison for 4 turns. Poison heals the player's HP equal to the true damage dealt (IE limited by the monster's remaining HP). This has +0 Save Bonus, player INT/LUK vs. monster END/LUK.
  • Chroma Shield: Quickcast. Costs 70% Melee in MP. Cost is based on the player's level (359 at 150). Applies a (0.75*[EarthRes])x Omni EleShield for 2 turns.

An extremely powerful status-oriented tome, coming with two powerful DoTs and an a strong EleShield.

Loremaster Tome

Neutral Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • The Good: Standard Light spell.
  • The Bad: Standard Harm spell. Deals 0.9x damage.
  • The Ugly: Standard Earth spell.
  • Draw Mana: Deals Harm damage.

A unique triple compression Tome made in memory of Falerin. It offers unmatched compression, thanks to both compressing three elements, and those three elements having no other option (or in Light's case, an option that doesn't penalize Necromancers).

Lightning Rod

Energy Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • Chain Lightning: Standard spell.
  • Shocking Burst: Deals -33.33% damage. Attempts to Paralyze for (1.0025*[EnergyRes]) turn(s), rounded randomly. This has +0 Save Bonus, player INT/LUK vs. monster END/LUK.
  • Ball Lightning: Efficient spell.

Paladin's Legacy

MC Light Tome. Comes with 3 spells:

  • MC: Modified the damage of all Light Spell damage based on class:
    • Paladin: Light Spells deal 105% damage.
    • Necromancer: Light Spells deal 97.5% damage.
    • Any other class: Light Spells deal 102.5% damage.
  • Holy Blaze: Deals -40% damage. Attempts to inflict a Power: 2.9 Light Burn for [Hits] turns. This has -20 Save Bonus, player INT/LUK vs. monster DEX/LUK. Light element monsters are immune.
  • Shining Strike: Standard spell.
  • Radiant Blast: Efficient spell.

While technically the top damage option for Light, Paladin's Legacy unfortunately has a downtrigger for Necromancers.

  • Holy Stars: Efficient spell.
