Defensive Miscs

Zfinity Gauntlet: Space

Comes with two skills.

  • Harden Space: Usable once per battle. Grants the player a +60 MRM "Shield" for 1 turn. This costs 235 SP
  • Soften Space: Usable once per turn. Grants the player a x0.5 All-Element EleShield for 1 turn. This costs 274 SP

Analysis: A good option for purely defensive characters. However, there are other sources of these effects without once per battle/turn limitations. Combining Geocastellum Robes and Edoc Imanok/Panoply (From Big Dictionary) can produce similar and potentially more powerful results.

Grakma Warhorn

This misc grants 35 CHA and reduces incoming Fire damage by 50%. Although the main attraction of Grakma Warhorn is the Berserk status toggle and compressed guest. The toggle applies a -15.3 BtH lean to the player and as causes you deal *1.2195 damage to compensate, and the summonable Grakma guest can inflict a powerful Fire EleVuln effect to your enemies. Grakma Warhorn is particularly useful for beast builds as it both compresses a guest and provides a massive boost to player damage.

Prime Chaos Orb

Every time you click on the misc two effects are attempted:

  • 1) Element scramble: Attempts to shuffle the monster's 8 primary elemental resists (Similar to Scrambler Beam or Rainbow Raygun).
  • 2) Lean: Applies a *1.1 Damage Taken/Damage Dealt "Lean" to the monster. This "Lean" gets stronger every time the misc is click (i.e., 1 Click = *1.1, 2 Clicks = *1.2, 3 Clicks = *1.3, etc.). The first click has no cost however subsequent clicks will randomly "lockout" player actions. Currently you can be locked out of Normal Attacks, Spells + Class Skills, Weapons, Armors + Shields, Pets, and Miscs + Potions. The misc is cannot be used once Miscs have been "locked-out". This means that if you are very lucky, you can get 7 clicks per turn.

Due to the nature of the "lean" that is applied to the monster, this misc not only boosts Player attacks but also Pet and Guest attacks. This makes Prime Chaos Orb universally useful to almost every build.

Irt of Osiris

One of the best miscs for most builds. Provides 40 STR, 40 INT, 50 END, +10 BtH to Melee/Ranged attacks (+13.33 BtH to Magic attacks and +5 BtH for spell-tagged attacks), and reduces incoming Light damage by 50%. Additionally, because Irt of Osiris boosts STR and INT, it is one of the best miscs in the game for Werepyres as they scale with STR/INT stats equally. However, all of this comes at the cost of 98 SP per turn (which effectively negates passive regen at lv 150).

Location: Warlic's Shop -> Mastercraft Sets -> Osiris Set

Info-Subs: Link

Murderator Gauntlet

Increases your STR and INT by 50, and your CHA by 30, as well as a 31% chance of inflicting Control each turn. Murderator Gauntlet is especially strong given the most recent changes to booster Pets/Guests as it effectively gives them 80 Stats to scale with. This misc is potentially good substitute for Osiris if the additional accuracy/light defense isn't needed. Additionally, because Murderator Gauntlet boosts STR and INT, it is one of the best miscs in the game for Werepyres as they scale with STR/INT equally. However, all of this comes at the cost of 105 SP per turn (which makes the misc unsustainable even after factoring in passive regen at lv 150).

Location: Guardian Tower -> Nimrod -> Quests -> Arena of Enthusiasts! -> Moderators Challenge!

Samukematsuri Oni Mask

One of the more interesting misc items in the game. Increases STR, END, and LUK by 50 and CHA by 20. The main attraction for Samukematsuri Oni is the Burn effect. After every hit of a weapon attack or spell that connects the misc attempts to inflict a 2.2 Power Fire Burn for 1 turn. This misc is especially good for beast builds as it allows them to stack Burns faster in combination with the abilities of the Neko subrace armors.

Minotaur's Pride

Boosts your weapon damage by *95/85 (roughly *1.117) and increases your STR by 35, this is one of the strongest Melee boosts in the game.

Location: Travel Map -> Sail East -> Travel South -> Legends of Lore (Minotaur Day)

Aria's Rattle

Top option in terms of damage for Beastmaster builds, offering +45% pet damage (that's +18% Melee player damage) as well as a +8 BtH increase making it a strong option for guaranteeing statuses and increasing your pet damage to be on par with your guest.

Location: Aprils Fools -> 2014: Babes of Battleon

Info-Subs: Link

Shock Collar

Another strong option, albeit a bit more defensive than Aria's Rattle. It offers *1.325 damage to your pets, making it potent in conjunction with additive boosts like Foam Finger, and a -10% flat resistance to energy.

With items like Foam Finger, or using pets with additive bonuses (Flame/Aqua Bots, Abberant and so on) Shock Collar actually out-damages Aria's Rattle.

Waffle Cone

Comes with two skills.

  • Sate Soul: Usable once per battle. Heals ~176 SP. This has no cost.

Analysis: Although Slake Soul can only be used once per turn, its efficiency is MUCH better than that of Essence Orb until the 5th cast. Overall, Soul Gauntlet is a good replacement for Essence Orb.

Analysis: The best option for MP regen item in the game. Even though Pixel Ether is very powerful, it requires the use of Discount Mogloween Candy Bag and Essence Orb to compete with Mind Gauntlet's efficiency.

Zfinity Gauntlet: Time

Comes with two skills.

  • Halt Time: Usable once per battle. Inflicts a 1-turn Paralyze on the monster. The effect has no save, only immunities can block this effect. This costs 317 SP.
  • Slow Time: Usable once per turn. Attempt to inflict two effects on the monster, a 4-turn -7.5 BtH Blind and a 4-turn -10.625 MRM DefLoss. Both statuses inflict separately, i.e. you can get one of them, neither of them, or both of them.

Analysis: One of the more universally useful Zfinity Gauntlets. The no-restriction (except immunities) paralyze can help set up devastating combos and the Blind/DefLoss can be potent for setups that need additional accuracy or defense.

Love Potion

Hairmuffs

A tribute to Carrie Fisher, this is one of the more unique Misc Items available. One of the better miscs for blocking build. Should be used when LSCV1 isn't on Roc Day.

Increases Melee/Ranged/Magic defenses by 4 and reduces incoming Energy damage by 50%. MC: After every attack, attempts to inflict a -25.3 BtH lean Berserk effect on the monster. This means that the monster would have -25.3 BtH but deal *1.4237 damage if they do manage to land an attack.

Location: Yulgar's Inn -> Yulgar -> Memorial Shop

Frostgale's Remorse

One of the more unique misc items available. Boosts DEX by 50, Ranged Blocking by 10, and can be toggled between two modes: Ice and Wind. In both modes Ice/Wind damage is boost by +22% (/0.75 for magic attacks and /2 for spell-based attacks), this does not apply to pets/guests. Additionally, in Ice mode the misc provides -20 Freeze Potency, while in Wind mode it provides -20 Paralysis potency. While not the top option for pure damage, Frostgale's Remorse is definitely a must have for any build utilizing either of these statuses, regardless of the damage boost.

Angel Bells

Similar to the above Paladin's Oath, except that Angel Bells reduces incoming Light damage by 50%, increases Melee/Ranged/Magic Defenses by 5/5/6 respectively, and grants 50 CHA. Additionally, when clicked a Cherub guest (SP) is summoned, this guest does +100% damage but had a chance to give your opponent Celerity.

Paladin's Oath

A strong light misc that can summon a simulacrum of Artix when clicked on. Additionally, increases CHA and LUK by 45, and boost the damage of Light Normal/Magic/Spell-Based attacks by *1.18/*1.24/*1.09 (respectively). Definitely a good option for those that

Zfinity Gauntlet: Power

Comes with two skills.

  • Replenish Power: Usable once per battle, Heals 10% of Max HP. This costs 666 SP.
  • Crushing Power: Usable once per turn. Inflicts a 4-turn, +25% All-Element EleVuln. Has a 50% save, player inflicts with [Main Stat]/LUK, monster resists with END/LUK. This costs 215 SP.

Analysis: The Power Gauntlet is mechanically speaking the worst. This is because the Replenish Power costs an insane 666 SP and heals 10% HP and not a flat amount. Most builds do not invest in END meaning that this conversion has an efficiency of 0.4444 which is very bad. The only redeeming factor of the Power Gauntlet is the Crushing Power skill, which boosts damage for your entire side of the field.

Legendary Shadow Crystal V1

Cycles between 4 modes depending on what day it is. Each mode is designed to exemplify the attributes of the legendary monster that it is associated with. The below values are from the max level version.

  • Hydra Day - Your attacks have a chance to inflict a strong Bleed on the opponent, but outside Bleed setups the misc is pretty underwhelming.
  • Naga Day - Works the same as Rejuvenating Necklace, but provides +50 INT/LUK on top.
  • Minotaur Day - Boosts all Normal/Magic/Spell attacks by *1.34/1.45/1.17 damage, being arguably the best misc for raw damage.
  • Roc Day - All your defenses increase by +10 while the monster loses -25 accuracy in return for dealing increased damage, the +37.5 total increased blocking chance (when combined with the DEX increase) is very potent for blocking strategies, and even as a standalone.
