No-Drop

Blade of Awe

As a guardian, you can replace your Guardian Blade no-drop with the Blade of Awe. This requires you to collect the 5 pieces of the Blade of Awe (guide found here). By default, the Blade of Awe is a 10% proc Earth Melee weapon with a range of different specials, but the weapon element can be changed at the Guardian Tower by speaking to Nimrod, and damage type and weapon special can be changed by Valencia through the Awe Item Exchange and Align Weapon Special menus by visiting Valencia privately.

You'll most likely stick to the Blade of Awe for Melee damage, but the element alignment you choose will depend on any gaps you have in your active inventory, and/or personal preference. For warriors, Wind is often the best choice as options are lacking, but keep in mind that aligning the Blade of Awe to an element will also align your no-drop armour and shield the same way.

More recently, the Awe weapon specials were updated, most importantly the ability to align the weapon special so that only that a specific special happens. If no alignment choice is made, the weapons trigger in a weighted random fashion as normal. Below are brief descriptions of each of the specials and what happens if they are aligned.

Standard Specials -

  • Spiral Carve: Standard Special. If aligned, deals +25% damage.
  • Awe Blast: Auto-Hits and deals *0.85 damage to compensate. If aligned, deals +25% damage.
  • Health Vampire: When below 75% HP, does *0.5 damage and heals for damage dealt divided by the monster's awe-element resist. If aligned, heals for 150% of damage dealt divided by the monster's awe-element resist. When above 75% HP, does regular Spiral Carve instead.
  • Mana Vampire: Deals *3/8 damage, and heals 653 MP (at lvl 150). If aligned, heals 914.2 MP (at lvl 150). When above 75% MP, does regular Spiral Carve instead.
  • Soul Vampire: Deals *3/8 damage, and heals 490 SP (at lvl 150). If aligned, heals 686 SP (at lvl 150). When above 75% SP, does regular Spiral Carve instead.

Non-Standard Specials -

  • Guardian Dragon: Against standard monsters of your level, this will deal 17% of their HP as Harm damage. Additionally, this special has a small chance to instead summon Guardian Dragon Jr. who deals the same percentage to the monster's base element, if this resist is 50% or below the Guardian Dragon is summoned as well. If aligned, changes your special proc chance to 16% but is otherwise the same.
  • Power Word Die: Summons The Reaper who instantly kill 95% of monsters in the game. If aligned changes your special proc chance to 4% but is otherwise the same.

Additionally, you can upgrade the Blade of Awe to the Blade of Awe!!!. The upgrade is bought from the Golden Giftbox Shop of Awesome!!! accessed through Golden Giftboxes, and increases the power level of the weapon your current level, rather than (your level - 5). The damage increase is extremely small, so don't stress saving up Z-Tokens to open Golden Giftboxes just for this.

Special

Custom Weapon

Guardians get access to the custom weapon from the Guardian Tower. It is outclassed by most gear, if you lack both Tsuchi Shamrock Sensu and the Bloodzerker Terra Sword (Earth), then this would be a good replacement. The weapon has multiple choices for: - Hilt - This determines the element. Choose Rock if you wish it to be Earth. - Handle - Accuracy lean. Choose Puissant if you have 250 DEX, Normal if you have 200 DEX, and Perfect if you have anything below that. - Gem - You want Flashing for the no-proc bonus.

Location: Guardian Tower -> Armory -> Treasury -> War Room -> Speak to Logan -> War Room Mission!

Fire

Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword

Weapon with Magic/Melee compression. Gets the *1.08 multiplicative boost for being no-proc. Deals +15% additive Melee damage at the cost of 52 HP and a further +5% from it's MC. The boost is increased by +5% when used with any Bloodzerker Armor, and an addtional +5% when used with Blazing Bloodzerker.

As an extra bonus, the weapon boosts Fire Spells/Spell-Tagged Skills (i.e. Skills on current standards) of the weapon's damage type by +10% additive. This boost is increased by +2.5% when used with any Bloodzerker armor, and an additional +2.5% when used with Blazing Bloodzerker.

In ideal conditions this weapon boosts Fire Melee Normal Attack damage additively by +30% and Fire Spell/Spell-Tagged Skill damage additively by +15%.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> Rare Shop

Pyromancer's Bloodblade

Fire clone of Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword, see its entry just above. Additional effects mentioning Bloodzerker Armors apply for Bloodmage Armors instead.

Location: Void Challenges --> Caecus See Here

Patriot Katana

A no-proc (therefore receiving the *1.08 multiplier), as well as having a Mastercraft of *1.5 Lucky Strike damage, makes this a great option for synergy with the Dragonguard spell mentioned in the spell section.

Location: Limited Time Shop (available around July 4th)

Info-Subs: Link

Note: Info-subs incorrectly list it as Energy.

Unstoppable Grakma Butcherer

The best F2P option overall for most builds. It's 0% proc, and if it misses, then at the end of your turn the weapon performs an additional attack whose power depends on the number of previous hits that missed.

Location: Travel Map -> Sail East -> Mt. Thrall -> Hollow's Garage -> I'm here to kick some demon tail!

Info-Subs: Link

Super Pzycho Sabre

The best F2P option for Beastwarriors; clicking on the weapon will call Pzycho, a solid pure-damage fire guest. If the guest is already present, then clicking on the hilt will perform a powerful fire attack, which consists of 2 hits and lowers the monster's MRM for the rest of the battle. It deals +50% damage and uses CHA for "Ferocious Strikes" (renamed Lucky Strikes), rather than LUK. However, using this attack will prevent the guest from acting during the turn.

Location: Yulgar's Inn -> Advanced Shop

Water

Quenching Bloodzerker's Sword / Hydromancer's Bloodblade

Water clone of Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword, see its entry in Fire for more details. For Hydromancer's Bloodblade, additional effects mentioning Bloodzerker Armors apply for Bloodmage Armors instead.

Location: Valenica --> Golden Giftboxes --> Rare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Blade of the Thornful Rose

While the skill is not as strong as that of Zabura's Hammer and Gauntlet of Xano when used in combination with the Bloodzerker armour's skill, this item can still be worth the space, as it does not have to compete against Zealot's Wrath for a slot like Zabura's Hammer/Gauntlet of Xano do. For those who don't want to use the Bloodzerker combo, one of the other Water options are recommended.

Location: Void Takeover: Keyote the Heartcrusher. See here.

Info-Subs: Link

Masamune

Melee/Magic 0-proc Sword, gets the *1.08 0-proc multiplier. Has a 0.5 base/random damage range lean.

MC: This goes to to skill compression. Clicking on the sword activates a +15 BtH and +40% Lucky Strike rate. This toggle is paid for in SP, Melee pays 226 SP, and Magic pays 208.75 SP per turn for this effect. While this effect is incredibly power, it does take proper planning to use effectively due to the extreme SP cost.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> UltraRare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Serrated Sacragon Spur

The best non-rare option for damage. albeit with an unfortunate wide damage range of 6-58, this weapon's special causes you to skip and turn and take some damage, but in turn the next round you'll deal significantly more damage, getting even more powerful for consecutive specials. This has great synergy with defensive->offensive shift, attacking with element resistant gear until the special occurs, and then switching to a weapon-based skill for a big nuke.

Location: Travel Map -> Sail East -> Sail Southeast -> Taladosian Set

Info-Subs: Link

Kindred Spirits' Enlightenment

A fantastic weapon when used with the full Kindred set. By clicking the handle you can switch it between a +5 BTH lean and a -5 BTH lean, and by spending Tranquility Charges you can make the blade always hit for the duration of the turn. Do note that when the blade auto-hits it reverts to a neutral lean.

Location: Travel Map -> Sail East -> Kindred Set

Info-Subs: Link

Monolith Mace

A no proc weapon with a -3 BtH Lean, and a Mastercraft of dealing *1.5 LS Damage, making it extremely good in conjunction with Angel of Souls and the Dragonguard spell.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> Rare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Taxing Cutlass

Effectively a Melee-only Water clone of Star Sabre of Balance. Starts off as a0-proc weapon and gets the *1.08 boost. MC makes it so that 5.625% of damage dealt is healed as SP.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> Rare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Wind

Kaze Shamrock Sensu

Very similar to Tempest Scimitar but 0-proc, has a +5 BtH lean, and causes Luck Strikes to occur x1.5 as often. While Tempest is undoubtedly strong, Kaze Shamrock Sensu definitely has more reliable damage.

Location: Blarney

Info-Subs: Link

Tempest Scimitar

Arguably the strongest option for builds with 250 LUK, as it increases the Lucky Strike rate by 50%. It's only 5% proc so the special is rare, but monstrously strong when it does occur.

Location: Valencia --> Golden Giftbox --> Rare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Long Talon

This weapon was only available from the Frostval 2016 Giftboxes, so it's permanently rare now. It's 0% proc, and you can boost its damage by a maximum of 20% through the use of Murderkillosity, which is gained by killing monsters while wearing pieces of the Windter Warrior set. Sadly Murderkillosity doesn't stack between battles making it inferior to the Tempest Scimitar.

Location: 2016 Guardian Giftbox set

Info-Subs: Link

AQxe

This is the best non-rare option, and it doesn't require spending any real money. It's 0% proc, and its damage slowly increases as the fight goes on at a max of +10%.

Location: Guardian Tower -> Nimrod -> Quests (open to all) -> Arena of Enthusiasts (hard mode, no heals)

Info-Subs: Link

Divine Kusanagi Sword

A very niche option, but it does have its uses. Its receives a penalty of dealing only 68% damage, but it never misses.

Location: Warlic's Shop -> Mastercraft Sets -> Fujin Set -> Bridge to the Sky -> Imperial Regalia

Info-Subs: Link

Ice

MagnaBlade

While this weapon is a 20-proc, MagnaBlade's insane +30% additive damage bonus (while taking +17.85% damage)is so potent that its average damage is significantly more than using the below Cryomancer's Bloodblade. Furthermore all normal attacks have a -5 BtH lean, *(85/80) damage, and the special has a further -5 BtH lean for a total of -10 BtH lean, *(85/75) damage. Lastly, MagnaBlade's damage is the most consistent in the game, quite literally, it has no random damage and has a damage "range" of 32-32 at lv 150.

Location: Stonerule -> Riona -> War of the Giants -> Part 2

Info-Subs: Link

Cryomancer's Bloodblade

Ice clone of Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword, see its entry in Fire for more details. Additional effects mentioning Bloodzerker Armors apply for Bloodmage Armors instead.

Note: The only reason to get this weapon over the above MagnaBlade is if you prefer 0-proc weapons to 20-proc weapons. MagnaBlade is strictly stronger regardless of being a 20-proc.

Location: Valencia --> Golden Giftboxes --> Rare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Horo-Show Void Vanquisher

The absolute best Ice weapon for adventurers, and it still holds up to this day as one of the best for Guardians. It has no special and -5 BTH, making it deal substancial damage, albeit with an unfortunate wide damage range of 6-58. To top it off, by clicking the blade you can deal Harm damage at the cost of 39 SP every turn.

Location: Twilly -> Anniversary Events -> The Dragon of Time -> BONUS

Info-Subs: Link

Burden of Insight

Melee 0-proc weapon, gets the *1.08 0-proc multiplier. Arguably the best auto-hit weapon for Warriors that don't have use for the status utility of Thundersplitter and/or want to use a different weapon for Wind. MC goes to a toggle between two modes. In normal mode the weapon deals full damage, and in Auto-Hit mode the weapon deals *0.65, however the player also takes a -6 MRM nerf and a +(10/1.4)% damage taken debuff, making the effective damage *0.7865 or 78.65% of normal damage. Best used for Backlash warriors.

Location: Warlic's Shop -> Quests -> Dragonlorn Keep -> Sorrow's Reach

Info-Subs: Link

Katar of Cold

A no-proc weapon that, instead of having the normal *1.08 damage for not having a special, has a [# of hits that connected] / [# of hits attempted]*10.75% chance of attempting to Freeze the monster. Although it's not MC'd, it pairs well with Nezujimbo (guest) and Nilak (pet) or Frost Effigy (pet), and is a very nice weapon for Beastwarriors.

Location: Travel Map -> Sail East -> Travel South -> Haven -> Mind if I explore the town a bit? -> Click on the Town Circle -> Click on the Neko Armory (building on the extreme left) -> Basic/Advanced Shop

Earth

Terra Bloodzerker's Sword

Earth clone of Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword, see its entry in Fire for more details.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> Rare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Tsuchi Shamrock Sensu

Bested only by the Terra Bloodzerker's Sword, this weapon is a no-proc with a mastercraft of *1.5 Lucky Strike Chance with an accurate lean of +5 BtH, making it really good when combined with Angel of Souls if you don't have one of the other lucky weapons.

Location: Blarney

Info-Subs: Link

Frogzard Sword

Another solid non-rare F2P option. It's a standard 0% proc earth weapon, but clicking on the hilt turns you into Frogzilla, a Neutral earth armor. As it's locked into earth however, it deals about 60% more damage than normal Neutral armors due to the EleComp, and also has a powerful skill which can burn the monster. However, it costs over 72 million gold, so keep that in mind.

Location: Zard Hunter's Shop -> Other Quests -> UnZardly Terror!

Energy

Voltaic Bloodzerker's Sword / Dynamancer's Bloodblade

Energy clone of Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword, see its entry in Fire for more details. For Dynamancer's Bloodblade, additional effects mentioning Bloodzerker Armors apply for Bloodmage Armors instead.

Location: Valencia --> Golden Giftboxes --> Rare Shop

Info subs: Link

Limit Buster

Energy Melee/Magic that has a 0.1 base lean and no special (gets *1.08 modifier to compensate). Comes with a charge system. The player gains 1 charge for every 1% 0-END Max HP lost (2958*0.01 = 29.58 HP), these charges stack to 200. After reaching at least 100 charges the weapon can be clicked to execute an attack with a special animation that does +[Charges]% damage, because the maximum number of charges is 200 this has a maximum of +200% damage. Because this attack isn't a skill it applies armor lean, the *1.08 0-proc bonus, and the /1.1 from the balance engine. Even though the +200% is additive, is nothing to joke about, and in fact, barring eat fear/cold, Limit Buster has the strongest "weapon-skill" in the game. However, it does have one downside, getting 200 charges requires losing 5916 HP, though even this can be accomplished by not using a shield or getting hit by a few attack when in the wrong armor.

Location: Valencia --> Golden Giftboxes --> UltraRare Shop

Info subs: Link

Thundersplitter

Melee no-procs axe that toggles between two modes: One pays some HP to inflict Burn on the opponent, while the other has a damage penalty in exchange for never missing.

Location: Frostval -> Decorate The Tree

Info-Subs: Link

Star Sabre of Balance

Though it's rare, if you already have this weapon then there is no better option. It's 0% proc so it gets *1.08 damage, and its MC heals 5.625% of the damage you deal back as SP.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> UltraRare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Asgardian Hammer (Mjolnir)

The top F2P option for Energy other than Thundersplitter. It's a 0% proc weapon with a +10 BtH lean, and a very low chance to paralyze the enemy at the end of the turn.

Location: Travel Map-> Travel South-> Thunder Mountain

Info-Subs: Link

Perfectly Balanced Blade

An energy clone of the above mentioned Divine Kusanagi Sword in the Wind Section. It sacrifices some of your damage for an auto-hit effect.

Don't get it if you already have Thundersplitter!

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> Rare Shop

Light

Zealot's Wrath

The best Light weapon in the game, and arguably one of the best weapons ever released for any element.

Light weapon with Melee/Ranged/Magic modes. Ranged mode has a +5 BTH lean. Has the *1.08 multiplicative no-proc bonus.

Flavor Effect: You deal +15% additive damage and take +(MagMod*15/1.4)% additive damage, where MagMod is 1 for Melee/Ranged and 0.75 for Magic, i.e. +10.714% damage taken in Melee/Ranged mode and +8.035% damage taken in Magic Mode.

MC: Each form of the weapon has a different Lucky Strike boosting MC.

  • Melee: Lucky Strikes deal *1.5 damage
  • Ranged: Lucky Strikes occur *1.5 as often
  • Magic: Lucky Strikes deal ~*1.2247 damage and occur ~*1.2247 as often

Location: 2500 Z-Token package

Nerf Info-Subs: Link

Twisted Gauntlet of Xano

One of the best Light weapons in the game, 0-proc and has a *1.08 modifier to compensate. Has a weapon-click skill very similar to Zabura's Hammer, except that it has no penalties due to statuses, and does not take the balance engines /1.1 modifier. Because of this, it is the strongest Melee weapon-click skill in the game (barring Limit Buster, Eat Cold, or Eat Fear).

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> Rare Shop Rare (May return at a later date)

Info-Subs: Link

Zabura's Hammer

Although this section is already very cluttered, this is definitely an item worth watching out for. While it's a proc weapon, it has a built in skill that deals a lot of damage, and attempts to blind the opponent. On top of that, the skills is affected by the Bloodzerker Armor skill, meaning your damage is doubled over the skill, making it the one of the strongest Fire nukes in the game.

Location: Granemor -> Right Arrow -> Click on the Graveyard (Fight a couple of battles) -> Click on the statue -> Return to Order

Info-Subs: Link

Lumenomancer's Bloodblade

Light clone of Blazing Bloodzerker's Sword, see its entry in Fire for more details. Additional effects mentioning Bloodzerker Armors apply for Bloodmage Armors instead.

Location: Valencia --> Golden Giftboxes --> Rare Shop

Hikari Shamrock Sensu

A clone of the other Sensu weapons, it is a good option for the reasons mentioned above.

Location: Blarney

Kingdom Breaker

Kingdom Breaker works the same as Greater Bright Blade of Victory, except it has a smaller, more consistent damage range. It's only available to those who bought Guardianship/Z-Tokens before 2013.

Location -> Valencia -> Visit Grumbugly -> Kingdom Breaker Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Greater Bright Blade of Victory

This is one of the best non-premium options for raw damage. It has no special, and its MC makes it deal +5% damage.

Location: Warlic's Shop -> Quests -> Blades of Victory

Info-Subs: Link

Heartana

A good weapon for those who prefer status effects over raw power. Heartana is a 20% proc, +5 BTH lean sword that can Control the monster with its special attack.

Location: Snugglefest

Info-Subs: Link

Darkness

Agony's Embrace

The strongest Darkness weapon in the game, hands down.

Darkness Sword/Glaive with Melee/Ranged/Magic modes. Has the *1.08 multiplicative no-proc bonus.

Flavor Effect: You deal +15% additive damage and take +10.714% damage in Melee/Ranged mode, or +8.035% damage in Magic Mode.

MC: Increases damage dealt based on missing HP by +(1-(CurrentHP/MaxHP))*10%. Below are some example HP brackets:

  • 25% Missing HP: +2.5%
  • 50% Missing HP: +5.0%
  • 75% Missing HP: +7.5%
  • 99% Missing HP: +9.9%

Items like Essence Orb can help players better use Agony's MC as most nuking metas revolve around the player not taking damage from enemies, which can nullify MC's value. Also note that there are stronger items to spend an UltraRare giftbox on, so you should only prioritize this after you've acquired the Dunamis guest and the Bloodzerker armours you want.

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> UltraRare Shop

Info-Subs: Link

Terror Eater

While mages are better off using the full Terror set, most warriors belong to the Werewolf subrace, making the armor unnecessary. You can click the handle to Eat Fear, which removes your opponent's Fear status to unleash a massively powerful attack, and by stacking Fear through Werewolf's Snarl skill, Eat Fear can do some absolutely mind-numbing damage.

Location: Travel Map -> Terror Set

Info-Subs: Link

ShadowWalker's Dagger of Time

If you use the ShadowWalker of Time armor and shield, you may want to consider using the weapon too. The dagger is a 0% proc weapon with a damage range of 27-37, and at the end of every turn, you have an 8.5% chance of gaining Celerity, allowing you to attack twice. When used with the armor and shield, this chance is doubled.

Location: Buy Heromart Calendar 2017 "Year of Adventure" -> Redeem code in Master Account

Greater Dark Blade of Victory

A dark element reskin of the Greater Bright Blade of Victory, and the best non-rare option for adventurers.

Location: Warlic's Shop -> Quests -> Blades of Victory

Location: Valencia -> Golden Giftboxes -> UltraRare Shop
