Introduction
This page aims to document the best methods of obtaining gold.
General Assumptions
Regardless of method, the following is assumed as a baseline:
- The character is at 150
- The character is Guardian
- No Token Packages or UltraRare GGBs are used.
Gold Farming
The guide will be split into two sections: Painting Farming and Always Available methods, and be ordered from best to worst (further left is better).
Painting Farming
Farming painting bosses is by far the fastest method for Gold in the entire game due to the large rewards and free healing inbetween fights. All methods listed here cost Z-Tokens to access, and are timegated due to the paintings not being always-available.
The following is assumed for these methods, unless otherwise stated:
- The character uses the following build: 250 INT/250 END/250 CHA.
- The remaining 250 points are dependent on what gear is being used along with what fight.
- The character has access to a house.
Assumed Gear
The following gear is considered a baseline for farming:
- Angra Linnorm
- Summon Essence of Carnage
- True Nemesis' Testament/Retro Nightmare Plate (optionally the full set for the FSB boost to damage, using the level 45 shield to decrease dodge chance).
- Fast animation spell, such as Your Soul Burns Bright as a Beacon! (mandatory if using Retro Nightmare due to slow animations).
Helpful Upgrades
The following gear will assist in more consistent farming, but none are mandatory:
- Summon/Call Cocytus/Dread Fiend of Nulgath (Rare GGB item; Ice is preferable with current methods)
- Doomlight ($100 token package; a luxury, but trivializes farming)
General Strategy
This is the general strategy for farming, unless otherwise stated:
- Start battle with Backlash gear on and (hopefully) lose initiative.
- Get punched as hard as possible without dying.
- If boss is still alive, skip turn in as little button presses as possible.
- Optionally, heal up to survive the next turn with a potion
- Repeat from step 2 until dead.
- Profit!
The fastest gold farm in the game, bar none. Some player input is required on average, due to inconsistency even with Doomlight (winning initiative, non-Doomlight setups relying on coinflip Backlash procs, etc).
Stat Distribution
- 250 END, 250 CHA, 100 LUK.
- The 100 LUK increases the odds of Backlash without meaningfully increasing the chance of winning initiative.
The second fastest gold farm in the game, beaten only by Alpha WereDragon. Arguably the best method if farming gold on multiple characters, due to requiring much less player input.
The best non-Backlash farming method in the game. Notably, the rewards for defeating Caecus are the most economic way of farming him. There are two methods, a mage method and a warrior method. The warrior method is faster, but requires more effort to do.

Cast Blood Pyre until Caecus is defeated.

Strategy
Equip Bell Shell and attack with Overdrive Onslaught toggled until defeated. Without Bell Shell, you run the risk of dying to Caecus' Backlash. -- this has been patched to not work. Other methods are being investigatedThe best non-Mage gold farm.
Always-Available Farming
These methods are for people who do not have access to the lucrative Void bosses.
The following is assumed for these methods, unless otherwise stated:
- The character is a Warrior (STR/LUK/CHA).
Assumed Gear
The following gear is considered a baseline for farming:
- H-Series Tempest Power Armour
- Uragiri
- Angra Linnorm
- Summon Essence of Carnage
- Chieftain's IronThorn
- Ambush Potion (via Lucretia)
Helpful Upgrades
The following gear will assist in more consistent farming, but is not mandatory:
- Any Bloodblade
General Strategy
