Introduction
The game has a number of yearly events, some tied to holidays, and others not.

Holidays
Frostval (Christmas)
The main holiday of the year, features an intro quest, a main event typically spanning 2 quests, and a delivery war (more on wars on the Wars section).
During December, Guardian characters can buy Guardian Giftboxen at Nimrod in the Guardian Tower at the start of the event, that turn into items at the end of the delivery war. These items are often some of the best in the game.

Snugglefest (Love Day)
A new quest is released each year, and access to previous quests and rewards is available.

Items are released in the Limited-Time Shop, as well as some monsters in the random adventure.

Back to School (Around September 1st)
Items are released in the Limited-Time Shop, and some school-themed items are randomly given away to active characters each day over the course of a couple weeks.
Talk Like a Pirate Day
New items are added to the Limited-Time Shop as well as to the Pirate quiz shop.
The event can be accessed through the Mage Shop -> Explore Shop -> Mix Mermazon Kelp + Bad Juice + Magma Leaf into the cauldron. Note that this does not give access to items that are normally added to the Limited-Time Shop during TLaPD.
Mogloween (Halloween)
The secondary holiday of the year, with an intro quest, as well as a new quest is released each year, and access to previous quests and rewards is available.

Non-Holiday Events
Mastercraft Set
Once a year, around October an intro quest is released to what later is a quest for a complete set (Weapons, Shield, Armor, Pets, Spells, and Miscs).
Black Friday
A variety of promotions are available. Although there aren't any specific promotions confirmed in the past there have been sales on both Z-Token packages offering increased amount of Tokens, as well as a 50% discount on Token items in-game including houses and estate items, Golden Giftboxes and Z-Token items themselves, but not player faces, inventory slots, shared vaults, no-drop item swapping or quests that ask for tokens.
AE Crossover
Around February the developers take player suggestions on the forums on which items from other Artix Entertainment games should come to the Golden Giftboxes.
Token / Gold Donation
Twice a year, once in summer and once coming up to Frostval for Z-Tokens, and once a year coming up to Frostval for Gold, there are donation events where players can donate Gold and Z-Tokens to other players randomly, and donating players get rewarded based on the amount they donated and their placement on the donation leaderboard.

Wars
A recurring event throughout the year. The event revolves around killing monsters until a set amount is defeated, with sometimes cut-scenes unlocked when different percentages of this amount are achieved. Wars usually last around 7-14 days, and when they complete a boss is revealed as well as the war rewards when defeating it.
Additionally, reskins of the war rewards are available to players achieving a set amount of kills.

Strategy
Strategy for wars has generally been to use the most efficient setup with nukes favoring armors with low cost compared to their damage.
Since kills cannot be achieved once the player has reached both their Gold and EXP cap, items like the Spirit miscs are used.
Spirit miscs are Z-Token package items (cost real money) that increase both Gold gained, and the Gold cap to compensate while they're in your active inventory. To leverage that, players keep them out of their active inventory, and as they near the Gold cap, put them one by one back into their inventory to increase their cap, allowing for more kills. All Spirit miscs give +25% Gold during their respective month and +10% outside of their month.

Do note that these miscs are only available during their respective months.
Players who don't want to invest money, instead set a "gold line" which means they flee any monster that rewards more gold than an amount they set beforehand. This means they reduce their kill rate, but increase the amount of monsters they can kill before they cap.
Warring-Server
A couple of players have set up an unofficial war competition, called Knights of Discord with both a site as well as a Discord server, sometimes with various rewards, like Artix Points (equivalent to real money).
